Mind Mapping with MindGenius

Mind Mapping is a powerful graphical technique that stimulates and unlocks the potential of your brain. MindGenius Hints and Tips

 

Q: Do you know how to avoid printing or viewing + /- symbol (you know, the one which appear on the map in each branch to collapse and expand the branch.

A: You can hide the expand/collapse symbols +/- in MindGenius V2 by changing the options under Tools Go to Tools menu, Select Options, then select the Display Tab and un-tick Show ExpandCollapse Symbol.

 

Q: Do you have a version of MindGenius that will run on a PDA?

A: Gael do not have plans to launch one in the future however, MindGenius business has the ability to interface with "Pocket Mind Map", a mind mapping product which runs on Pocket PCs. For info on Pocket MindMap you can go to their web-site @ http://www.pocketmindmap.com.

MindGenius business has a "File/Save As/Pocket MindMap Document" function which allows the user to save into this format and then transfer their map to their PDA for use with "Pocket MindMap". A separate installation of "Pocket MindMap" is required.

MindGenius business will also open a map created in "Pocket MindMap".

 

Q: Does the MindGenius mind mapping software work on Macs?

A: If users are running a supported Windows operating system (98/ME, 2000, XP) using Virtual PC on the Mac then they should be able to run MindGenius. The Microsoft Website has the latest version of Virtual PC for Mac as version 7.

 

Q: What is the best way to attach an email or a web page link into a map? Can it be put into the notes and accessed that way?

A: The easiest way to do this is to put it in as an Attachment. For example, the email you would put it in as mailto:support@mindgenius.com.au and for the web link you would put it in as http://www.mindgenius.com.au and it will work correctly.

 

Q: Will you be introducing a tool (similar to word) that allows drawing within the map editor while developing the mind map?

A: We currently have a version of MindGenius (Brainbloom) which will enable you to install and run MindGenius on a Tablet pc which will provide you with the option to use the pen on the tablet.
